Worship
Sunday Services – 9.30 am followed by coffee fellowship in the Guild Room.
Vision Farnell Parish Church has developed a vision of itself over the last few years as a small rural congregation determined to maintain and enhance its existence as an independent Church, playing a full role in the life of the national Church and bearing Christian witness in a modern and relevant way within the life of our distinct local community. Since the retirement of our last permanent minister in 2002, the congregation has accepted that elders and members of the congregation must play a fuller role in the life of the Parish Church, that we must rebuild the congregation from its reduced level of attendance, that we must rebuild Church related activities, that we must remain financially healthy and viable year on year, and that we must contribute to the well being of all who live within the parish, including non members.
We have as a Kirk Session prepared a development plan identifying the main aims and objectives of our life as a congregation and are now in its third session, working towards our goals. We can show significant progress over this short time. We trust and expect that the arrival of our new minister, our recent linkage with Brechin Gardner Memorial Church, and more collaborative working with other local churches in the Esk Parish Group will continue and accelerate our rebuilding of congregational life.
